Developed as a part of my Master's thesis at the University of the Aegean. This app is an extension of the [PSmart](https://psmart.aegean.gr/) project, an Internet of Things solution designed for museums and cultural organizations.

This app provides an easy to use interface for the original PSmart web application. By using the AR mode, the museum's curators can walk by the exhibits, and view real-time information about their environmental conditions, ovelayed to them. The interactive AR buttons also allow the users to turn devices on and off, and also to view and manage alerts about them.

AR / IoT App

AR Internet of Things app, that allows museum curators to easily manage smart devices.

PSmartXR

Made as a part of my Master's Degree studies at the University of the Aegean. Developed in Unity engine, I created a demo for a game set in an alien world. For this game I developed an inventory and crafting system, various enemy spawners and AI and a notification and PDA system. I also created most of the game assets in ZBrush and Cinema 4D, as well as the original sound design in Reaper.

The content of your everyday life is now on display for the world to consume and judge. My Augmented Place, is an art installation that’s meant to be a commentary on privacy in the modern age. It explores how our relationship with privacy has changed over time using digital assistants, Internet of Things devices and cloud based security cameras.

Developed in Unity engine, using the Vuforia API. The user can scan various AR markers position near smart devices and get information about privacy issues regarding these devices.

There is also a plot twist. By accepting the terms & conditions at the beginning of the session, the user permits the app to take photos of them in the background. These photos are sent to a face recognition API and various data about the user get extracted (age, facial features, etc). The extracted data are shown later to the user, alerting them about privacy issues than can occur at any time.

AR Installation

Interactive Augmented Reality installation, built as a final project for the course "Culture and Digital Media".

My Augmented Place

Historeye offers a new way for students to learn about history. Our interactive, 360° video experience will take you on a personalized tour of the Castle of Palamidi situated in Nafplio, Greece. Developed as a part of a research project at the University of the Aegean. A custom analytics solution was also developed that allows the researchers to gather useful data about the usage of the app.

A VR 360° video educational app, that allows students to explore the Castle of Palamidi, located in Nafplio, Greece.

This project is an open-source solution for controlling IoT Smart Devices/Sensors, built as a university thesis at the [Department of Cultural Technology & Communication](http://www.ct.aegean.gr/en/), University of the Aegean. The devices built for this project include smart plugs and on/off switches (for controlling lights, coffee makers etc.), temperature/humidity sensors and PIR motion sensors, all based on the ESP8266 WiFi module. A REST API is built for managing those devices and a web app is provided as the front-end.
